Her sacrifice, always remember by heart!!

My Obs & Gyn rotation at Military Hospital, Eidown for these 2nd & 3rd weeks out of 8weeks.
Yesterday, my friends & i did take history of a 26-year-old pregnant lady, case of vaginal bleeding, 9weeks gestational age. Owh, it's triplet pregnancy actually!! So cute.

Later on, during rounds, doctor showed us an ultrasound of another pregnant lady. Subhanallah, that's miracle..it's a girl (based on the finding), just like the mum's wish. (^_^)
The pumping of fetal heart rate, quickening of the baby, the tiny renal, seems fused spines and so on.. masya Allah, human the best creation.

"Which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?" (Ar-Rahman : 13)

Today, my friends & I went into labour room. Last night, i did preview about this topic so that I would know what's going on in details then.

What is labour? Process of regular, painful contraction that bring effacement & cervix dilatation, and descent of presenting part, leading to expulsion of fetus and placenta from the mother.

Stages of labour? 3

First stage: From diagnosis of labour until dilatation of cervix 10 cm.
a-Latent phase: Onset of labour until dilatation of 3-4 cm of cervix.
The cervix becomes 'fully effaced'
Usually about 3-8 hours, being shorter in multiparous women.
b-Active phase: End of latent phase (3-4 cm cervix dilatation) until full dilatation (10 cm)
Usually last about 2-6 hours, being shorter in multiparous women.

Second stage: From full dilatation of cervix to delivery of fetus/fetuses, less than 2 hours in primiparous and 1 hour in multiparous.
a-Passive phase: No maternal urge to push
Fetal head is still relatively high in pelvis
b-Active Phase: Maternal urge to push because fetal head is low
Reflex to 'bear down'

Third stage: Time from delivery of fetus/fetuses until delivery of placenta
Placenta usually delivered within few minutes of birth of the baby

Alhamdulillah, 4 deliveries during this morning, less than an hour. Deeply touching as I saw crowning of the baby's head. Pearl of tears slowly running down my cheek as I hardly imagine the biggest sacrifice of a mother. Am I able to sacrifice just like that in my future??

Mak, bouquet of thank you with all my heart & soul, sincerely to you, for all the things you've done. Nothing could be exchanged in this world. I'm so sorry for not being a good daughter to you during these whole seconds. May Allah rewards you Al-Jannah, the best place ever, insya Allah. Love you mak!!! sob sob.. T_T
